Terms of use.

The baseline terms for using this site and working with the studio. Project-specific terms live in the proposal and statement of work.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

1. Using this site

This website is operated by TechShiner (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The content is provided for general information. It is not advice for a specific situation, and it may change without notice. You may not use the site in a way that breaks the law, interferes with other users, or attempts to gain unauthorised access.

2. Services and proposals

Work is defined in a written proposal or statement of work (“SOW”), not by this page. A proposal is valid for the period stated in it. An engagement begins when both parties accept the proposal and any required deposit is received.

If the scope changes, we will agree the change in writing — including its effect on timeline and price — before doing the additional work.

3. Fees and payment

Fees, currency, schedule and expenses are set out in the proposal or invoice. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. Late payment may pause work and may incur the charges permitted by law.

Taxes are the responsibility of the client unless the proposal says otherwise. Third-party costs (hosting, APIs, licences, domains) are either billed at cost or paid directly by the client, as agreed.

4. What we need from you

A project depends on timely access, feedback and decisions. You agree to provide the content, accounts, approvals and information reasonably required, and to nominate someone who can approve work. Delays caused by missing inputs may change the timeline.

You confirm that you have the rights to any content, trademarks or data you provide, and that our use of them as part of the project does not infringe someone else’s rights.

5. Intellectual property

On full payment, you own the deliverables we create specifically for you under the SOW, excluding third-party materials and our pre-existing tools. We retain ownership of our pre-existing code, know-how, templates and internal tooling; if any of it is embedded in a deliverable, we grant you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use it as part of that deliverable.

Open-source software remains under its own licence. We will identify material dependencies in the handover.

Unless you ask us not to, we may describe the project in our portfolio and case studies. We will not publish confidential information or client data.

6. Confidentiality

Each party may receive confidential information from the other. The receiving party will use it only for the engagement, protect it with reasonable care, and not disclose it except to team members and advisers who need it. These obligations do not apply to information that is public, already known, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.

7. Third-party services

Projects may rely on third-party platforms (for example cloud hosting, payment providers or AI APIs). Their availability, pricing and terms are outside our control. We will configure them responsibly, but we are not responsible for their outages or policy changes.

8. Warranties and liability

We will provide the services with reasonable skill and care. We do not guarantee a particular business outcome, ranking, revenue or uninterrupted availability. The site and its content are provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data or business interruption. Our total liability under an engagement is limited to the fees paid to us for that engagement in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate an engagement for material breach that is not cured within 14 days of written notice, or if the other party becomes insolvent. On termination, you pay for work completed and expenses incurred up to that point, and we hand over the work product for which payment has been made.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. The courts of Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction, unless a signed proposal says otherwise. Before starting proceedings, both parties agree to try to resolve the dispute in good faith.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Changes do not apply retroactively to a signed proposal.

12. Contact

These terms are a working document and not legal advice. Have them reviewed by a qualified adviser before relying on them for a regulated or high-value engagement.
