Service 04
Backend & APIs.
APIs, data models and integrations that stay understandable when the product grows.
A backend with clear contracts, sensible indexes and no mystery cron job holding it together.
How we approach it.
The backend is where most product promises are kept or broken. We design the schema, the boundaries and the failure modes first, then build an API that the app, the admin panel and the next integration can all use without special cases.
01
Model
Entities, relationships, permissions and the queries the product will actually run.
02
Contract
A typed API surface and error format before the UI depends on it.
03
Build
Migrations, seed data, tests and a local environment that matches production.
04
Harden
Indexes, pagination, idempotency, retries and a dashboard for the failures that matter.
Questions.
Can you work with our existing database?
Yes. We start with the query patterns and the constraints, then make additive changes instead of a risky rewrite.
Do you build GraphQL or REST?
Whichever fits the clients. GraphQL when the product needs flexible reads across many screens; REST when the surface is small and cacheable.
How do you handle migrations?
Every schema change is a checked-in migration with a rollback plan. No manual edits in production.
